You already know this, but if you spend enough time online, especially in social media circles, and you say anything remotely interesting, insightful or thoughtful, sooner rather than later you will encounter someone professing a desire to do you harm.

I’m far less accomplished than you Caitlyn, and my weakest arguments probably aren’t that far back in the rearview, but I’ve had keyboard despots threaten to kill me, my wife and my two small children. It’s cold comfort to tell yourself how unrealistic such a threat might be, but it’s also true that it’s unlikely.
