You do know that if energy costs go up another 16-fold, many millions of people will die, and not all of them will be european... Many of them will not be. You might see billions of non-europeans perish. Is this the goal? I ask, because many of the proposed policies from the green new deal or extinction rebellion or the like are indistinguishable from a death cult that wishes to eradicate most humans from the planet. I understand why they might not want to put that foot forward, but I think if you're going to support these policies you should be honest about it. Dishonesty is just going to make people not want to trust you, and/or you're going to marshal support from people who don't actually share your goals.
