People overusing the word coup simply and obviously just learned the word and are trying it out. It reminds me of people who learn about the illuminati and start to see it everywhere. Oh look it's on the dollar. Oh look there's a mason lodge in my town. They're just showing their lack of sophistication about political events and their ignorance of actual coups.
