My recipe:
2 parts oats
5 parts cold water

Blend on high for 15 seconds in a blender or a food processor

Pour through a nut milk bag or fine filter (metal coffee filters work ok…)

I typically add a splash of maple syrup.

Refrigerate. This recipe makes for a thick, creamy milk. The standard ratio is 1 part oats to 3 parts water, but I like mine thicker.

You will need to shake before serving, because this homemade version will separate. Also, rinse out your nut milk bag asap. If you let the oat residue dry onto the bag it’s like glue.
