Like some other commentors hint at, I am bewildered at otherwise “woke” Americans talking about the British royals with anything but unbridled, white-hot contempt that they might otherwise reserve for the Klan or avowed Nazis.

If ANYONE in the world is the continued benefactor of undeserved privilege at the hands of racism, slavery, colonialism, rape, pillage and the death of countless millions, it’s the British royals, and if there was ANY justice in the world, these people who adorn magazines and live in actual, no-shit Disney castles would have been bodily thrown out of their ill-gotten throne-rooms decades ago. Alternatively, if they themselves had any sense or decency, they would have abdicated all of it a while ago. Today also works. Tomorrow is less appealing. Sooner is better than later.

A great shame on anyone who adores or holds these people in any kind of esteem. What the fuck are you thinking? They are atrocious bastions of everything wrong with the middle ages and beyond, not fairy tales come to life.
