It would be really convenient if Trump was the alpha and the omega of the problems Caitlyn alludes to, but if you read the thing she just wrote you might notice it referenced a march towards authoritarianism that started before 9/11. Trump will one day leave office. The issue is so much larger than one president. Trump is hardly alone in furthering the massive overreach of authoritarianism in the US. The virus, like 9/11 has created a bipartisan effort to swipe away civil rights to the benefit of a variety of interests, none of them very good.
