I don’t listen to the President, so I’ll have to take your word for whatever it is he’s saying now.

And again… this is the 3rd response I’ve had to make dispelling the bizarre conclusion that I’m in anyway trying to minimize the actual effects of this virus.

That’s not the point of my assertion that the original piece is utter nonsense.

The utter nonsense aspect is that we’re somehow uniquely unprepared for this outbreak. We’re not. We have a more robust healthcare system than many of the ostensibly superior universal healthcare systems the original article hinted at.

I already posted links to proof that we’re near the top of the pack for ventilators, beds, etc. But here’s another one: http://www.centerforhealthsecurity.org/our-work/events/2018_clade_x_exercise/pdfs/Clade-X-ventilator-availability-fact-sheet.pdf

I can post more but it seems like my proof is being ignored, suggesting that the propaganda shoe is on the other foot. If you’re impervious to information, it’s pointless to give you more of it.

As to why and how we’re different from Singapore (a tiny island nation run by an autocracy) or South Korea or Japan, well, suffice to say that we’re quite different in many ways.
