Another BIG WHIFF from old “bad narrative” Umair.
If you read any of Umair’s pieces, and you pay attention to details, you notice that he doesn’t ever mention specifics like:
-The DNC
-Actual, concrete policies
-Real things that happened
It’s all “dear comrade” bluster fit for a propaganda poster.
Bernie adamantly REFUSED to fight in this primary. Quite the opposite of what Umair would have you believe, Bernie never once took the gloves off. He lacks the passion and anger and devotion of his constituents.
He has possibly the weakest, most inept, most impaired primary opponent possible, and he REFUSED to aggressively tell anyone why they should vote for him over Biden. Here’s something you might say if you were serious about winning against Joe Biden: he penned the patriot act. He voted and bragged about voting for the Iraq war. He is one of the biggest beneficiaries of campaign contributions from credit card companies that ruin the lives of poor and middle class Americans with predatory debt. He doesn’t have any actual plans! A dozen women have come forward with sexual harassment and assault complaints!
Instead, Bernie’s said Joe is his friend. Joe is a decent old fella.
That’s a thing that happened. Does that sound like, as Umair claims, a movement of aggression and rage?
And if you, again, pay attention to specifics, we know WHY Bernie lost and why he never ever one time initiated the meekest attack on Joe: Bernie’s great fear is to end up like Ralph Nader, becoming a spoiler for the election. He’s said this publicly on record.
If you play defensive offense, you never score.
But even more shockingly, Umair NEVER talks about the DNC. I’ve read way too many of his rambling screeds about this election and this primary, peppered with language that would have you believe America is circling the toilet for one final time before we all live in mud huts. And in every one of these whoppers, he never mentions the DNC.
That’s like talking about the inquisition without mentioning the catholic church.
Bernie had a tough time of this primary from the get-go because of the DNC. Everyone knew they were tilting the game board away from Bernie. Bernie knew it. Bernie’s supporters knew it. Umair should know it, and write about it. But he didn’t.
Does that seem strange to anyone else? What conclusions can we come to about Umair if he won’t talk about the DNC? None of them are good.
Voltaire said, “To find out who rules over you, simply find out who you are not allowed to criticize.”
So, Umair: why won’t you criticize the DNC? Why don’t you mention anything about why Bernie refused to campaign against Biden?
For the rest of you reading this, I’ve called out Umair before and he never responds.
