Agreed. There's a whole lot of "that can't happen" normalcy bias in this comment section.
Americans simply have ZERO idea that a currency crisis could even happen, let alone what it would be like, or that they happen all the time all around the world.
Owning hard assets in the form of monetary metals, collectibles and rarities is not some crazy person's idea - it's how many millions of people have survived for long enough to procreate to give birth to people who, now just a couple of generations later SCOFF at the very idea that is a precursor to their very existence.
In the increasingly likely event of a currency crisis, these people are - and this is a technical term - "completely boned."
